Having real problems with performance in IE8 I see this topic has been covered with no real solutions, mention of using less jquery so tried that with no noticeable improvement on performance.

    Heres the home page

And here’s a basic page with majority of animation icons etc. removed:

I’ve tried not using custom fonts or the sticky header with no noticeable improvement, any ideas or a solution would be gratefully received

    thanks
    Dan

    Hi,

Do you have any cache plugin? If not please not please try W3Total Cache or Wp SuperCache it should improve the performance.

    Hi Rui

Have done this and no change it’s not performance issues like load times it’s the inability to be able to scroll down a page in IE8 without it being unresponsive and really jumpy making it almost unusable.

    Hi Dan,

    Apologies for the delay!

Unfortunately it really is a case that IE8 is an incredibly old browser now, and with new web technologies it will become increasingly slower. If we made changes to improve the performance on IE8, we would be sacrificing the quality/features for every other browser, and that is not something we are willing to do given that IE8 usage is down to less than 2%

I get a 404 on that performance link.. Do you see the same slowness on the demo by the way?

    – Ed
